This is an “emulator” of a Japanese thumb shift system, recreating its functionality for a QWERTY keyboard.

Instructions:

• Spacebar pretends to be the thumb shift. Press spacebar at the same time as any other key to “shift” it. Do not treat it as a Shift key! Just press it the same way and at the same time you press the regular key.
• You can use Enter to add a space.
• Regular Shift keys and Caps Lock don’t work.
• Note: Punctuation and symbols might not work properly on non-English QWERTY keyboards.
• Note: This won’t work on mobile phones for obvious reasons.
